Debt Consolidation vs. Bankruptcy

After an adversarial divorce, debt can become a overwhelming and looming matter. Individuals often come to me and ask for my opinion regarding bankruptcy.  My opinion is usually to avoid bankruptcy if possible and try debt consolidation through an agency that specializes in this area.  Debt consolidators can help you charge-off or greatly reduce the compounding interest on your accounts and set up a payment plan to re-pay your creditors on a budget that fits within your means.  It may take several years to re-pay these loans, but in the long run...the results are better for your demeanor.  Bankruptcy is depressing and deceiving and in many cases it can cause your creditors great harm.  Bankruptcy can take a decade or more to repair your credit and leave you blindsided while Debt Consolidation can take only a fraction of this time to clear things up and make you feel better about yourself.

If you would like more information on Debt Consolidation and Credit Repair, contact:  Cheryl Ross @ American Eagle Federal Credit Union (860) 643-1157 ext. 5840.

If you would like more information on Bankruptcy and a Low Cost Resolution, contact:  William Kollman III, Attorney at Law (860) 447-0331 ext. 23.

These referrals are excellent resources and very affordable!!

This is such good advice! And it gives me comfort to know another writer who doesn't write systematically same amount of time each day..
